CHRIS MALONEY Founder/Director

Chris is a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the American Council on Exercise. She is also a Corrective Exercise Specialist in addition to holding the prestigious Precision Nutrition certification.  Additionally, Chris is credentialed in both TRX Suspension Training and TRX Group Suspension Training. She is also a Certified Youth Fitness Specialist by NASM and has been a Beachbody Coach. Prior to becoming a fitness instructor, she was a Certified Public Accountant working with Fortune 500 Companies. Her passion for fitness was strong and she has now been an instructor for almost 20 years. Chris started Shape UP Boot Camps & Fitness in a local tennis court and has grown it over the past 15 years to its current location. She has 3 sons who keep her moving all the time. In her “free” time, she is admittedly a gym rat and also enjoys just about any workout!

CASSIE PHILLIPS

Hi! My name is Cassie Phillips. I am a wife, mom, and fitness lover! I am a certified personal trainer and have a degree in Respiratory Therapy. I value clean eating, exercise and moving, people and relationships, and balance to enjoy all of these awesome gifts. When it comes to your workouts, I believe you should find something you enjoy, include some energetic and positive people, and do it often! I love leading fitness in a group setting and promise to deliver the very best in class programming, energy, music, and results.

LEANNE STANLEY

Leanne is a Bay Area native who values a holistic approach to wellness, and strongly believes in the importance of integrating mind-body practices and exercise. She has been a member of Shape Up! since 2013 which fostered her passion for fitness and motivated her to e  arn ACE-certification in personal training. Leanne's other passion is in providing mental health services to marginalized populations. She graduated from Cal Poly, SLO in 2005 and earned her PhD in clinical psychology from Palo Alto University in 2012, with emphases in neuropsychology and forensic psychology. She works at the California Medical Facility in Vacaville, conducting psychological assessments and treatment with mentally ill prisoners.

LINDA PIPE

Linda is one of Shape Up! Boot Camp'ss original clients, starting with Chris in 2003. After watching how Shape Up! has transformed so many lives and physical fitness, including her own, Linda decided to become an A.C.E. Certified Group Fitness Instructor in order to combine her passion of fitness and life to help others reach their fitness goals. Linda holds a Group Fitness Instructor Certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Linda Pipe grew up in Illinois and received her Bachelor and MBA degrees from Indiana University.  She then moved to the Bay Area to work for Macy’s, where she met her husband, Ennis.  They moved to Iowa for the 6 longest years of their lives, finally coming back to the Bay Area in 1997 and never plan on moving away!  Linda and Ennis live in Pleasanton and have 2 young adult children, Kennet (AVHS Class of 2013) and Miara (AVHS Class of 2017).  Linda has worked at PUSD schools since 2007 and currently loves being the Registrar at Amador Valley High School.   In addition to her passion for fitness, Linda loves international travel, road cycling, her family and a glass (or two) of champagne.

SABRINA BROWN

Sabrina Elizabeth Brown is a Pediatric Nurse by night and fitness instructor by day! She started her fitness journey three years ago right here in Pleasanton. She joined a gym when she was a very unhappy, unconfident graduate student who weighed in at 247 pounds. Dance fitness including Zumba and U-Jam helped her to live a healthier lifestyle and she found herself 119.2 pounds lighter. Sabrina wants to continue to inspire men, women and children to never give up, follow their passions and to be happy, healthy people. Apart from dance fitness, Sabrina loves to run (ten marathons complete, including Boston and counting!), lift heavy things, eat chocolate (what girl doesn't?) and try new adventurous things (did somebody say ziplining through the Amazon?) Dance brings out a joy in you that she does not believe any other fitness activity brings! So come take some time and rock out with her on the dance floor and leave with lots of sweat and lots of smiles!

 
SEAN MALONEY

Sean Maloney is our Youth Strength and Conditioning Coach. He is a former Division 1 Lacrosse Athlete, All American, 1st Team All League amongst many accolades. He graduated from Foothill High School and attends SFSU. He is an avid body builder and weight trainer. He is CPR Certified with CPT in Progress
